A few random pictures

Sam's a traveling man. He started on his back in the middle of the gym mat. Somehow he made it across the floor - needed a better view of the TV, I guess.

Why spend $40K for a pool? We got one for free

"Can someone please come here and put something in this spoon?"

Sam's 5 months old today. I feel another blog coming on...

Road Trip

We took a road trip to the Verde Valley to check out a few Indian ruins. As usual, Sam had a free ride by stroller...
and by pack.
3 Hoovers and nature
Sam appreciating Montezuma's Castle

All that riding was exhausting for Sam.

4 months old

December 30, 2009. Sam is four months old. He's growning like a weed. Stats: weight 15lbs 30z - 50%, length 25.5 inches - 75%. No more preemie-sized baby here.

It's been a big month. I went back to work. Sam has started going to Mrs. Kerrie's a couple days a week and is doing great. Matt has had lots of daddy time when I work nights and weekends. The boys have a great time while mom is away - watching football, dressing Sam in camoflage. Sam is super chatty and loves to laugh, but he'll let you know when he's not happy. He's rolling over from his back to his front then usually gets mad that's he's on his tummy and starts to cry. Sometimes he'll get back over on his own. He's started grabbing his toys and chewing on everything. It's amazing he still have 10 fingers. He finally has control of his head which has opened the door to all sorts of new fun. He loves standing in his jumperoo and is starting to learn to jump in it. He's sleeping through the night - usually. Sam had his first taste of rice cereal for his four month birthday dinner. He didn't like it. He spit is out and started to cry. Again, Matt and my child has eating issues - who knew? Oh, and to our sadness, he lost most of his hair. We can't believe it's been four months already!

Merry Christmas

It was Sam's first Christmas. He did his usual eating, sleeping, and pooping. Matt and I had fun trying to make it a special day for Sam. We wrapped all of his presents... then opened them ourselves. We dressed him up in all sorts of Santa clothes. Matt and I had filet and lobster mac and cheese. Sam had yummy formula. Hopefully somewhere in his little baby head, he knew it was the first of many great Christmases with Mom and Dad.
Christmas morning.

I'm ready for some presents.
I like this one. It's like my doggies, but doesn't lick me.

My first stocking. Santa filled it with all sorts of cool stuff.

My presents are bigger than me.
Look at all my loot!

Even the dogs were festive this year - ok they were forced into the festivities.

Zoolights

I went to the zoo for the first time. All the animals were made of lights. Lights are my favorite so it was really neat. It was freezing! Were we still in Phoenix? And where were the real animals? I hope I get to go to the zoo again when they aren't sleeping.
