Happy Halloween

Sammy, the giraffe

2 month old

I'm 2 months old.

I'm growing so big. 11 pounds and 12 ounces yesterday. 22 inches so sad the nurse (but Mommy thinks I'm longer. They never stretch my leg out all the way.)

They gave me lots of shots today. So far, so good. Had a short screaming episode in the afternoon, but hey, we can't be happy all the time.

I'm working on my smile. Mom thinks if the shirt says I'm sweet, I'll act the part. I'm sleeping more at night. I slept from 9:30-5am last night then went back to sleep until 9:30 after a snack! I was hungry (and had a dirty diaper) I went 9 1/2 hours without eating. (It was a busy day so I slept through my dinner.) When I woke up, everyone was in a great mood. Let's hope I can do it again. Sleep training starts tonight. Not sure what that's all about. I'm not sure why I need to train to sleep - I do it pretty well as it is. Can you blame me if I like to be held and loved while falling to sleep? Wish Mom and Dad luck. They're going to need it!

What's up with me

Here's what I've been doing lately...

I love to stare at things.
I like to hang out at the park. I can't wait to go down the slide.
I'm getting strong.
I can sit in my Bumbo chair.
I fight going to sleep.
I'm still cute.

Pumpkins

Mom keeps dressing me in pumpkins these days.

Week of Vistors

What a crazy week! There have been so many visitors from all over the country coming to see me. Look at all these people...
Not only do I have Grandpeople, I have Great people too. This is my Great Aunt Cathy and Great Uncle Blair all the way from upstate New York. They were so great they took me to my first bar. OK so it was a restaurant but I got to sit at the bar. I really am in the carseat. I know it looks like the carseat gets more action than me. Do you think anyone knew I was under age? No one carded me.

This is Uncle Scott, my dad's good friend from Corning, NY. He says he's going to teach me to play lacrosse. I don't know what that is, but I'm sure it'll be fun.

The Nice Lady came back! Dad went hunting with Uncle Scott for a few days so the Nice Lady hung out with Mommy and me. I'm a handfull these days, you know.

Anne and Sandy came along with my new buddy, Garrett. He's so tall I know he's going to be my basketball buddy. He's 2 1/2 years ahead of me, but I'll catch up eventually.

Then more people came... all the way from Vermont. Mom's great friend, Katie, with Charlie Mack and Darin. Katie and Darin hugged and loved me. They bought me cool slippers (it's getting cold here, you know. Only 83 yesterday!) and a choo-choo outfit. Charlie is a cool dude. He promised to play trains with me. Aren't I the luckiest kid?

Go Yankees!

Way to go, Yankees!! That was a close one.

Is this a good look for me?

Oh, I can't wait to grow into my Yankees hat.

Ahoy Mate!

What do you think? Does this sailor suit match my eyes? Maybe I'll join the Navy when I grow up.
