Fenwick Island

I got to go to G-pop and Mom-mom's beach house in Fenwick Island, Delaware in July. We had a great time. I got to sleep in the walk-in closet. It was a step-up from the walk-in shower I slept in while we were in San Diego. I actually slept great - took some of the longest naps of my life. Cousin Erin wondered if I was ever going to get up. We did lots of cool stuff. I played on the beach - sand tastes great! I love the ocean. The waves were the coolest. I wonder when we'll get an ocean in Phoenix. We rented a boat and went out to dinner a lot. Mom-mom gave me my first taste of chocolate - yummy! Look how much fun we had...

Here's the pantoon boat we rented. Daddy and G-pop tried to fish but it was way too windy. No luck. Mom-mom and Erin relaxed like a couple of sea beauties. (Don't tell Erin's mom the grown-ups let her drive for a while) I hated my life preserver and well... I really didn't have much fun on the boat. Mommy wouldn't let me wonder around especially after the front of the boat dipped in the water. Maybe when I'm older I'll like the boat better.

I hated the life jacket. I hated the hat. OK I was not a happy camper.

Father's Day Photo Shoot

Sam had his second professional photo shoot. This one for a Father's Day present. He was quite the trooper despite being sick. Between swigs of Pedialyte, he posed and even cracked the occasional smile. We were just happy he didn't puke on the set. Here's a glimpse. Modeling career in the making perhaps?

I know it's been a really long time since we've updated the blog, but it's been one crazy summer - a month of Sam being sick, a trip to Delaware, selling our house, finding a new house to live in and now... moving day is coming. We promise we will be back ASAP with all the updates.

9 months old

Hi Everyone!!! I am 9 months old! 3/4 of a year, and life is fun. It's been a very productive month. I can do all sorts of things I couldn't do on my last update. I'm getting huge. My doctor gave me the news that I'm not going to be able to be a jockey when I grow up. Guess I'll have to enjoy the Kentucky Derby from the grand stands. I weigh 20 lbs 10 oz (53rd percentile) and am 30.5 inches tall (97th percentile) Now that I can stand I get to be "inches tall" not just "inches long." That leads me to my new tricks. I can crawl and pull myself up. Watch out world - I'm mobile. I finally get to eat some food that isn't mush. I love to feed myself with my hands which sometimes lead to my using food as hair products, but who doesn't love a kiwi-smelling baby? I have three teeth in and the fourth poking through. Getting teeth is really hard work. I've been drooling and chewing on everything (even the furniture) for months just to get these four. Here's some pics from this month.

Mom-mom and G-pop visit

Mom-mom and G-pop came to visit! It's been so long since I've seen them. Mommy tells me that Mom-mom was sick, but now she's better. That makes me happy 'cuz now they can get on a plane and come see me. We had a fun-filled weekend going out to dinner, swimming in the pool, playing in my new crabby pool... Oh and of course I did a lot of my usual - sleeping, eating, sleeping some more. I think I got my sleeping skills from G-pop. I found him sleeping on the couch a time or two. Here's a look...

San Diego Zoo

We went to the San Diego Zoo. Luckily Mom took lots of pictures because I slept through a lot of it. Here's a view of our day...

San Diego

Road trip!! We went to San Diego for April and Tony's wedding. What a fun time filled with firsts. My first time on the beach, first time seeing the ocean, first time on a swing, first time wearing a tie, first time at the San Diego Zoo, first time sleeping in the bathroom... that's right - they but me in the bathroom to go to sleep. I kinda liked it - my own space. I love San Diego (ok that's Mommy's line, but she's doing the typing.)

Progress

I'm 7 1/2 months. Can you believe it? According to Dad's package scale, I weight 18.5lbs. It's all that good food mom makes for me. The lentils are my favorite especially mixed with peas. I'm a pro at sitting. I'm feeding myself little snacks - some even get in my mouth! I haven't mastered crawling, but I really want to. I'm up on all fours (or I still like to get up on my head and feet from time to time) but haven't figured out the moving part. I had my first tooth break through. It's a sharp little sucker. I bit Mom's finger yesterday just to prove it. Here's some picture updates.
